Missouri Farm Appraisals and the City Boy

By Frank, December 3, 2007

OK, some of you have already asked why a Southern California “city boy” is somehow involved in Missouri farm appraisals … well, Howard at modirt.com is a client of mine for his domain name and website hosting, and I’ve been doing some searching on “appraisals”. Evidently my blog posts show up in Google pretty quickly on these “obscure” topics.

But I do have a rural farm connection; my father was raised in the Show Me state in Mercer County, MO. And, interestingly enough, Howard’s wife was a friend of my first cousin, and they had lost touch over the years. So there is a “small world” aspect to all of this.

If you’re interested in getting your small business a presence on the web, then, *ahem*, I may be your guy. But if you are looking for information on rural land appraisals, and even difficult situations like wetlands and conservation easements in Missouri, go to modirt.com.

Update 12/11/07: Howard has started to update his blog with contents of general interest, and while this type of thing is not usually my cup of tea for “relaxing reading”, I did find his blog on Subprime Loans insightful. Not just for what the overall implications are (which we see every day in the uber-media), but also how it impacts the individual land owner. Looks like the start of an interesting series of blog posts that are truly targeted to the core audience, as only a blog can do.
