messing-about.com is a popular site for amateur boat builders (and a few professionals!) It came about because I built a boat, and my family didn’t leave me. Polite Talk was designed to encourage the “art of polite political and religious discourse”, but the jury is still out on if reasoned, rational debate is possible in today’s world. The sites with mean-spirited talk seem to do very well, while Polite Talk has had some trouble finding its audience. We’ll see if it survives. My little Hosting and Domain Names business grew out of the need for more room for messing-about which led to a reseller account, with too much room. So I sell space on the server to others, with like-minded sites. This site is on the same server, as are my other personal sites.
