Thanks for your comment. While I have long held a different position than many conservatives on gay issues, it is interesting that CPAC had about 9% of the people in the straw poll indicated "family values" as the most important set of issues for them, but only 2% identified "stopping gay marriage" as an important issue ... and it was the second most important issue for them (the issue didn't rank as a number one issue for even 1% of the respondents). Straw polls at these events really don't mean much, but they do at least reflect the attitude of the people responding. The responses were from a younger demographic ... 73% of the respondents were under 40. I think Mr. Sorba is finding himself in an increasingly small minority, especially among younger conservatives. (The straw poll results are in a PDF file at http://66.147.244.188/~conserz8/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/2-10-CPAC-Straw-Poll-Final-Compatibility-Mode.pdf)

I thought about that ... but I don't know if they have other commentators. I don't watch MSNBC much, but did turn them on to see the commentary after the MA Senate special election. All I saw were rich white people lamenting the results of the election.

Does "people of color" also include the roster of MSNBC commentators? Lets see.....we have Ed, Chris, Rachel and Keith. Compared to the average Tea Party assembly, the MSNBC bunch "pale" in comparison.

Hi Bill,

I'm not able to paste the code into the blog directly without it masking some of the characters; I thought the "code" HTML tag would work for this, but it doesn't. I think WP has some built-in protections against posting php code or something. If you email me at frank@frankhagan.com I can send the code back to you in an email.

Great idea and thanks for posting it.
I tried what you said to do but I can not get it to work. Is there anyway that you can put the code so that it can be copied and pasted. I think I might have messed up when I was typing in your code.

Hi Jean,

I'm not descended from Curtis Hagan, but we are first cousins twice removed. Our common ancestor is Curtis Hagan's grandfather, Samuel H. Hagan, b. 2/14/1811 in Perry Township, Armstrong County, PA. Samuel's eldest son, John Henry Hagan, was born in 9/11/1836 in PA, and moved to ID after his father died. I have some information on John Henry and Samuel H. Hagan, but only a suspicion as to Samuel's father.
